The trio includes these 750ml bottles: 2013 Aurora Red Wine: From the winery: "The aromas of 2013 Checkerboard Aurora Vineyard offer nuances of spice, smoke, and roasted game meat. On the palate, seductive, dark fruit is seamlessly interlaced with sage and tobacco leaf. Deceptively soft tannins result in an elegant mid-palate and provide the foundation for an unending finish of fruit and pure mineral that is indicative of the site. In its youth, this 2013 vintage of great structure and length benefits from decanting prior to service." 2018 Coyote Ridge Red Wine: From the winery: "2018 Coyote Ridge is a very showy vintage. Let’s skip the descriptors and talk first about the finely polished tannins. Oooh-la-la. The tannins, combined with a texture reminiscent of the softest silk, makes it highly approachable. The wine’s weighty, powerfully structured palate of macerated red berries, dark plums, caramel, savory herbs, and red spice is irresistible. Each berry that became a component of 2018 Checkerboard Coyote Ridge was hand-selected on the sorting table." 2018 Sauvignon Blanc: From the winery: "Checkerboard Sauvignon Blanc is produced from a tiny one-third acre of the Spring Meadow Vineyard at 600 feet in elevation. The wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc Clone 1 and Sauvignon Musque and fermented using wild yeast. The fermentation process is intentionally slow, taking place in neutral French oak barrels stored at cool temperatures inside the cave.
